NEWMEXICO ARTS & CRAFTS FAIR
The picture is of members of the EOC selling tickets to the NMACF and that’s what we will be doing next weekend, June 23 – 25. The roster is full and we need everyone to show up for their volunteered time slot. If you forgot when you are to be there you can check the schedule that Kris e-mailed to everyone last week or e-mail Kris at firstname.lastname@example.org to get the schedule. This is our major fund raiser so your help is needed. Be there or be square!
OPTIMIST YOUTH CAMP
More than thirty (30) kids are scheduled to attend this year’s camp and have completed all of their paperwork and orientation. Most of them will be getting to camp by the YMCA bus so let’s be there to see them off on their adventure. The bus will leave from the Horn YMCA branch on Indian School road at 9 AM Sunday, July 2. You can also go to camp and be there to greet them. This is the largest group we’ve had attend the camp since we started. We still need donations to cover the cost of camp so if you haven’t contacted your family, friends and business associates, its not too late!
The International convention will be held in Albuquerque July 6 – 8. Early registration has closed but you can still register and maybe with some negotiation you can get the early rate. During the convention there is a House of Optimism where Optimist clubs can promote their activities and vendors can sell their products. The EOC will have a space and we will be displaying videos and displays of the Depot project and the Optimist Youth Camp. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! The House of Optimism will be open as follows;
- Wednesday, July 5, 3 – 6 PM
- Thursday, July 6, 7:30 AM – 6 PM
- Friday, July 7, 7:30 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday, July 8, 8 AM – 2 PM
No schedule has been set at this time but if you can work some time on these days contact President, Gary. Also, Suzann Owings has a space for HOBY and would like some volunteers. You can contact her by phone 867-0567 or by e-mail email@example.com. During the convention there is some time scheduled for what is called a Town Hall Meeting at which time you can express your thoughts or complaints. The meeting is scheduled for Friday, July 7, from 3:15 – 4:15 PM. See you there!
WHEN THIS IS ALL DONE, WE CAN HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN!
