Well the EOC Birthday Party is this Saturday, November 1, at the Quarters resturant on Wyoming.  Festivities will begin at 6:00 PM with indulgence in the “Nectar of the Gods” (cocktails) and diner will follow at 7:00 PM.  Unlike what President Leland reported earlier, orders will be from the menu.  This allows each person to select their preference, amount and price.  You may decide not to start at 6:00 PM but don’t be disappointed if you’re not having as much fun as those who did.  See you there!

Some changes have been made agenda for the 1st quarter Board Meeting, November 7 – 9 at the MCM Elegante Hotel here in Albuquerque.  The EOC is still responsible for staffing the Braggers Hall but the hours have changed.  The Braggers Hall will be in operation from 4:00 PM  to 8:00 PM on Friday and from 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM on Saturday.  We need volunteers to staff the Braggers Hall and in view of the change of hours we can do it in shifts.  Contact President Leland with the times you will work.  The Board Meeting is scheduled from 1:45 PM to 3:30 PM on Saturday.  If you can’t attend any of the workshops or training sessions plan to be at the board meeting because it is where information about the plans for the year will be discussed.  Also, there will be an opening ceremony with entertainment Friday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  This is something new so come out and see what its all about.

This must be party time for the EOC.  On Sunday Kris and Jim opened up their mountain home, yard and garage to many of us to enjoy.  Jim served as grillmaster and prepared a selection of hamburgers, hot dogs and brats with all the trimmings.  Along with the main entrees those attending brought a side dish and there was a great selection of tantalizing dishes.  I overindulged and I don’t think I was the only one.  It was good to see some members that we don’t see regularly.  Thanks, Kris and Jim for a great time!

We have a program scheduled for our meeting on Thursday, November 6!  We will be visited by the new director of the Title I program, Jeff Beg, and Pat Scott.  We support the Title I program by providing bicycles to students who need transportation to and from school or work.  Each bike we provide comes with a helmet, lock and lights.  Sometime we also provide baskets.  Today Dave and I deliverd the first bike of the school year.  We want to have more programs so if you know of someone or something that you think would be interesting let President Leland know.  Please put this on your calendar so we have good attendance for the program!
