About Us

We like to participate in community outreach projects that benefit kids. We’ve created many annual programs like ‘The Forgotten’ with gifts for young travelers on Christmas, Free Bicycles for those in serious need,  and Easter Egg hunts (we have our own Easter Bunny!).

We help to extend community programs by partnering with organizations like Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Roadrunner Food Bank, Mile High Little League, the YMCA’s Camp Shaver, and the public schools.

We meet Thursday Evenings at 6:30 pm in Fiesta’s Restaurant, Carlisle & Montgomery NE in Albuquerque.

We are a service organization with members from diverse backgrounds and a common interest in serving youth in Albuquerque.

For more than 57 years, we’ve touched the lives of thousands of  kids and families who benefit from our activities.

We welcome new members to expand and improve our community activities.

The Evening Optimist Club of Albuquerque was chartered October 31, 1957.

We believe that everyone benefits when young people experience caring and helpful behavior. So …

We create and sponsor activities to enrich the lives of our young people, and

We do things to encourage personal growth.
